The garden is a constant source of joy and the scene of fruitful activity as well. Here above all we are close to God’s creation and can sense the privilege of co-operating with him in enabling beauty to flourish in a world which has been desecrated in so many ways. Here too we can enjoy his presence in our moments of quiet meditation.
